As we look into the technological field, human brain was smart enough to perform wonders by inventing many devices that eases our work load to a great extent. And what if the devices that are developed are also smart enough to think more likely as our brain does. That’s where the term Internet Of Things(IOT) gains its significance. It is a technological advancement in which devices are able to exchange data with other devices over the internet.

As the name itself suggests, it is the Internet of smart things or devices. The best practical examples of IOT are our smart bulbs and speakers like “Amazon Echo”. These devices have the capability to recognize human voices and can be controlled through mobile devices within a specific range. All this happens with the help of internet. And in the energy saving perspective, IOT devices are one of the best in the field.

Consider an almost fully automated house starting with sensors at the door step where it detects the person’s presence and opens the door, smart lights which automatically gets turned on as soon as he/she enters the room, speakers which are able to recognize our voice and act accordingly. Is that the dream home which we all wish to have?

These devices have their own databases to store all the feedbacks or instructions and can be modified to deliver the desired results. Depending on the application, the type of sensor being used also differs and the devices are programmed in such a way that it will be able to deliver results only to a specific set of inputs given to it. The structure of the instructions provided must be similar to which the device have been trained with.
